APONCHE MEMORIAL CLINIC INAUGURATES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The managing director of aponche memorial clinic Mr. Paul E. Nyankom has announced their determination to provide herbal center of excellence for the good people of Ghana.
He said this during the inauguration of the new board of directors for the institution at Tema.

he also encouraged the management ,the entire staff and the general public to give their unflinching support to the board of directors in the performance of their duties.

Mr. paul appiah Denkyirah, Director of Human Resource , Ministry of Health stated that, the establishment of board Of Directors by Aponche Clinic is a clear indication that the Ghana herbal industry is moving to another level and added that being the first recognized clinic with board , it is therefore a challenge to all the members to be pace setters .

Mr. Appiah explained to health digest in an interview that, the only solution to the foreign herbal medicine competing with the local ones in the Ghanaian market is to encouraged the local herbal medicine practitioners to
produce effective medicine with quality packaging.

He continued that, as part of improving the herbal industry, the ministry has introduced a degree programme in the kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology where there is formal training of interested persons in this sector and this will cause a big change in the herbal industry in 5 years to come.

Mr. Akwasi Afiriyie on behalf of the board complained that, Ghana is practicing unhealthy systems when it comes to herbal medicine practice in Ghana but added that the board will be strict to ensure effective progress of Aponche Clinic.
