DRY FASTING IS BAD FOR HUMAN HEALTH- DR. S.K. Paul
Dr. S.K Paul, herbal practitioner at the Malaria research Centre has indicated that fasting
is necessary to help the body heal and throw off diseases, parasites, mucous and poisonous toxin. He said, there are several methods of fasting,
mild food, juice, fruits and nuts, water or total abstinence from food and water are all fasting. He said, the herbalists do not recommend total
abstinence type of fasting or fasting for long period of time without supervision by a doctor. He said studies have shown that people who fast and
are deprived of their daily food intake will break down and digest their own disease, damaged, aged or dead cells. He said during this time new
healthy cells are being produced to replace the diseased ones. He also said, since vitamins and minerals interfere with the cleansing process, they
should be discontinued while fasting. He said herbs may be used as they help to cleanse the body and regulate the glands. He stated that juice
should be from flesh fruits and vegetables diluted with distilled water (frozen juice may be use). He said at least eight glasses of liquid should
be taken during the day. He said the first three days are the hardest, but the benefits come after the third day. He said the fast is broken
when the body experience extreme hunger. He said during the fast, the eliminative organs are used extensively in order to remove the concentrated
waste. He added that it is important to take enemas (garlic, mineral water, etc) added the colon (intestines) is congested; toxins are absorbed
back into the system manifesting themselves as fever, ear ache, sore throat, headache or any other illness. He said each day of the fast should
include: Cleansing anemia, dry brush massage, hot and cold shower walking or other exercise, at least one hour rest, distilled or spring water,
herb teas, diluted juices, vegetable broth. He said vegetable broth has its own style of preparation or grate the following 1 and half quarts of
boiling water: 2 large red potatoes (skins included),3 stalks celery,3 medium beets and 4 carrots. He said any of the following vegetables:
cabbage, turnip, turnip tops, beet tops, and onions. He said, the person can season like rosemary then after cover and simmer 45 minutes. He said
when its slightly cool, blend in the blender and drink warm. He said anyone can fast, but it takes a determined person to break it. He said the
person should remember to eat lightly and to chew your food well. He also gave the days and what to take;1st day,1 fruit for breakfast, vegetable
salad for lunch.2nd,same as 1st day only add vegetable soup for dinner 2 more fruits throughout the day.3rd day, add large portions of fruit and salad
