Ghana AIDS Commission releases GHC171,000 to assemblies
The Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC), has released an amount of GHC171,000, to the 17 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the Western Region for HIV/AIDS activities.
Media urged to promote healthy lifestyles
An Anaesthetist, at the Juaben Government Hospital Dr Henry Brenya-Sarpong, has invited the media to join in the campaign to promote healthy lifestyles among the people. They should find space to educate the people on the need to avoid unhealthy eating habits and social lifestyles that fuel hypertension and other diseases.
Tobacco Control bill scrapped
The Tobacco Control bill has been scrapped.
In its place the Attorney General’s Department has drafted a Public Health bill, under which strategies for tobacco control have been listed.
