Inhaling Smoke is Harmful to the Liver - Lord Health Care

Picture of the Liver Alternative medicine Practitioner, Isaac Agyeman Boadu, of Lord Health Care Dome, has revealed that smoking, either domestic, commercial or industrial smoke is dangerous to the liver.

He said this in an interview with Health Digest News. Speaking to the Health Digest News in Accra, he said smoke that includes carbon mono-oxides, burning of charcoals, lorry tires, contains herbato toxic.

He said herbato is poisonous to the liver added that the liver performs more than 500 functions daily is the largest organ in the human body.
He stated that the liver helps in breaking down all the fats in the in the system, it helps digestion, produce a lot of vitamins and detoxification which is one major function of the liver.

He continued that if people are exposed to these smokes for a long time, it affects the function of the liver.

He said instead of the liver controlling the toxic substances they rather controls the liver.

Mr Agyeman Boadu said, the normal tobacco contains some chemicals which are smaller metals that can cause liver cancer.

He noted that continues smoking can also drain the natural anti oxidant of the liver which could damage the whole body.

He stated that it is about time the government starts educating the public on the dangers involve in getting closer to burning substances and smoking tobacco itself.

Agyeman Boadu, advised all fishermen to stop using chemicals such as D.D.T in fishing.

He also urged for afforestation as it will help absorb the excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
